the collection Dignity by Design
Because every Warrior deserves to feel like themselves.
Customized Gowns
More than just fabric - We believe a hospital gown should feel like a suit of armor, not a patient ID. By replacing clinical green with favorite characters and bright patterns, we help kids hold onto their identity and their spark, even in the middle of a hospital stay.
warrior tees
Comfort without compromise - Our port-accessible tees are designed to keep kids warm and covered during treatment. With zippers for easy medical access, these shirts mean one less thing to worry about, so Warriors can focus on what matters most: being a kid.
stitched with intention
Designed by heart, tested by experience - We don't just choose pretty patterns; we solve problems. Every piece in our collection is crafted with specific "heart-led" standards:
❂ Super-Soft Fabrics
❂ Strategic Access: Zippers designed for IV lines and ports.
❂ Kid-Vetted Patterns: We only use designs that real kids say make them feel brave and bright.
Full Circle, Full Heart:The Upcycling Program
Passing the Strength Forward
At G’s Giving Gowns, we believe that every gown carries a story of immense courage. When a child celebrates a milestone—like ringing the bell at the end of treatment or outgrowing their favorite gown—that story doesn’t have to end.
Through our Full Circle Program, we invite families to return their “retired” gowns so we can pass that strength forward to another child.
how it works
We take these cherished, medical grade textiles and upcycle them into new gifts of comfort for pediatric patients just beginning their journey. Our volunteers transform the fabric into:
- Comfort Pillow Cases: To brighten hospital stays.
- Teddy Bear Outfits: To dress up a child’s favorite plush friend.
- Drawstring Bags: Perfect for carrying toys and essentials to appointments.
Our Sustainable Mission
This program is a core part of our commitment to the planet. We’re committed to a future where healthcare is sustainable. Upcycling these gowns allows us to protect our planet while we support our patients. This process ensures that every piece of high quality fabric is used to its fullest potential, reducing medical textile waste and protecting our shared environment for the next generation of change makers.
“It’s more than just fabric; it’s a way for a survivor to send a hug to a new friend.”
Better for the Patient, Better for the Planet
In many hospitals, disposable paper or plastic-based gowns are the standard. While they are meant to be convenient, they often feel cold, scratchy, and end up in a landfill after just one use. My gowns are designed to be reusable. By wearing and rewearing a personalized G’s Giving Gown, a patient reduces medical waste while keeping a sense of comfort and home throughout their entire journey.

did you know?
The healthcare industry is one of the largest waste producers in the world. By choosing a reusable gown over a disposable one, we are helping reduce the millions of tons of medical textile waste that enter landfills every year.
Love Your Gown, Love Your Planet
This gown was handmade with love to bring you comfort and strength. To keep it soft for your journey and gentle on the Earth, follow these "Green & Clean" tips:
Wash Cold (When Possible)
About 90% of the energy used by washing machines goes to heating the water. Washing in cold water protects the vibrant patterns and prevents the fabric from weakening. Note: If a deep sanitization is required by your medical team, please follow their temperature recommendations.
Eco-Friendly Suds
Use a mild, fragrance-free detergent. It’s much gentler on sensitive skin (especially during chemotherapy) and prevents harsh chemicals from entering our watersheds.
The "Micro-Waste" Trick
If possible, wash the gown in a micro-waste washing bag (like a Guppyfriend). As a watershed volunteer, I've seen how tiny fibers can impact our water; these bags catch those fibers before they wash away.
Skip the High Heat
Tumble dry on Low or, better yet, Air Dry. This prevents "fiber pillage" and keeps your gown feeling brand new for longer.
Ditch the Fabric Softener
Many softeners contain chemicals that can irritate skin and reduce the absorbency of the fabric. A splash of white vinegar in the rinse cycle is a great, eco-friendly alternative!
going against the grain
In many hospitals, disposable paper or plastic-based gowns are the standard. While they are meant to be convenient, they often feel cold, scratchy, and end up in a landfill after just one use. My gowns are designed to be reusable. By wearing and rewearing a personalized G’s Giving Gown, a patient reduces medical waste while keeping a sense of comfort and home throughout their entire journey.
⚠︎ A Note on Medical Safety: The health of the patient is the number one priority. If the gown is used in a high-risk clinical environment, please prioritize your hospital’s specific sterilization and laundry guidelines first.
